After PCKO, I took on a construction project for which I produced all drawings, sketches, models and specifications, ensuring a quality build and doing much of the construction myself to gain practical experience.

I set up a freelancing company to offer architectural design and real-time model amendments with my clients, taking an interest in Commercial Energy Assessments, marketing, retrofitting the built environment, the Green Register among other courses and seminars in art, design, architecture, sustainability, interactive technologies and property.

Skills: Advanced Microstation and large project reference management, advanced Sketchup, 3DS Max with Vray, AutoCAD referencing, Revit, Adobe CS5 suite, file inport/export plugins, photography, Maya, Cinema 4D, Physical interface programming, model making, photo realistic hand drawing and painting, video performance, Microsoft Office Word and Excel worksheet calculations.

I have worked on a range of drawing stages: research, existing building measurements, concept sketches, virtual models for the client, planning, working drawings, detailing, meetings on site, drawing packages, actioning amendments and as-built drawings.

MA Project

A flexible reconfigurable kit of hexagonal pixels, each containing three nanocrystalline segments on air cushions with valves, elegantly inflates and deflates, giving varying heirachies between the strength of Red Green and Blue wavelengths of nano-amplified sunlight through the system.

Sections are connected together into any 3D shape to envelop surfaces. Interactive video from global sources translates pixel by pixel into valve contol in the larger system, allowing air pressure to power the precise redirectioning of direct sunlight through nano optical crystals.

Extra electrical power is substituted for Natural Phenomena in this larger system. R & B light is amplified in differing amounts, controlled like a colour changing LED, but instead using physical pneumatic changes in pressure, emitting the amplified spectrums depending on their angle of incidence to the sun.

Valves act like anologue switches in the pneumatic circuitry to redirect existing pressures in the system. In a separate circuit controlled through a physical interface board, 5V of electrical current from the USB of a computer controls small server motors attached to the valves in this network of controlled air currents that can be installed over the facade in collaboration with PhotoVoltaic cells and with light distributed via optical technology.

Applications can be artistic and functional, telling the story of harnessing free energy at this crucial time.
